The version might differ depending Apple’s updates, but as of March 6th, 2012, the current version is 10.5. Go ahead and click free download. You’re going to need to put in your email address here. Go ahead and click “Free Download.”It will start downloading, and it might take several minutes. When it is done, a pop-up menu will offer to run iTunes, so click run. It will click install. After a few more minutes, all you have to do is click finish and iTunes will start up.

Step 2:

Add your music and videos to your new iTunes library. You can do this by going to: File>Add Folder to Library or File>Add File to Library. Add your music and video files from your computer. You can also insert physical CDs into your computer and a pop-up dialog appears asking if you would like to import the CD. Click “Yes,” and iTunes will begin importing this new CD and will update the information about the artist, titles, etc. if you are connected to the internet.

Step 3:

Register your iPhone and sync it with your iTunes program on your computer. Connect your iPhone with your iTunes cord. Set up as new iPhone, and then you will be shown a choice of “naming” your iPhone (for instance, “Jane’s iPhone”) and select choices for syncing (or calibrating or coordinating) certain settings with your iPhone such as internet browser, bookmarks, contact list, etc. When the sync is complete, you can unplug and go to the music button on your iPhone.

Step 4: Buy apps on the Apps Store. On your computer, choose the iTunes Store on the left side of the screen. You will find yourself on the main page of iTunes. On the upper right side of the screen you should see a small link, “Sign In.” Click on that and it brings up a dialog box that allows you to either sign into an existing account OR create a new account. Playlists can organize music and other mp3 files such as audiobooks to your personalized choice. For instance, you might have a playlist entitled, “Jazz,” for jazz songs. This allows for easy access to your favorite style or group of music. The symbol to the right of the “Create Playlist” button is the shuffle button to rearrange the current playlist or group of files you are listening to; next to that is the repeat button to repeat what you are listening to; the final button either shows or hides the artwork related to the files you are listening to…Enjoy your entertainment media!
